  : Great value for money for a one night stay. Convenient location for walking into Kendal town centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Wonderful vegetarian breakfast. Nice to have a small bottle of water in room too. Also not very often you actually have conditioner in the bathroom so that was nice
  : Check in time was quite restrictive, but we managed to collect our key on timePoor view out of our room (car park), but we werent in the room for that long

  : Felt that there wasnt a personal greating on arrival. No option for an evening meal, not even sandwich and soup as stated in information sent after booking. Felt that room was over priced as breakfast was not included in cost and due to time of year only available breakfast was breakfast balms at an extra cost.

  : Lets start with the positives. Lovely staff when we arrived, lovely room, lovely venue. I can honestly say that this is the first time I have had to complain about a stay at a hotel etc. we went to our room at 20:00 after eating a nice meal at the bar. After about 10 minutes we could hear a lot of noise coming from outside our room, people shouting up and down the stairs etc. some people/person kemp trying to get into our room. (4 in The Lodge). We put this down to a group having a few too many beers. After 10 minutes the group left the premises. At 0:30 we were awoken by very load noises of people again shouting up and down the stairs and again there was someone clearly under the influence of drink trying to get into our room. This was upsetting for my wife who was quite scared. I didnt want to confront anyone under the influence so stayed in the locked room. This continued for well over 15 minutes of shouting and banging about. As we were woken from a deep sleep it took us a long time to finally drop back off. Unfortunately we were up the next morning at 06:30 as we had to get an early getaway. Im sure this is not the norm but as you can imagine this has been a very unpleasant experience for us. The venue contacted me to apologise but offered nothing but a reduced rate if we were ever back in the area. Incredible poor service for someone who has had a terrible experience.
