  : Bathrooms are really rundown and our drain was blocked so everyone else who had been before us in the shower came back up when used.

  : Observation not a complaint, but the bedroom had little room to walk around the bed could be a problem for some.

  : Old and quirky. Bedroom a good size and comfortable bed. Breakfast and staff were very good.
  : Shower had been updated I would think not too long ago, but there was a line of mould all just above floor level which was frankly disgusting. All it needed was a re grout.The soap basket was also dirty at the bottom of it.

  : Difficult to drive to as a stranger to Kendal. Obviously not the fault of the property but would recommend a good street map to help negotiate one way and pedestrian only streets.

  : Room in the courtyard was clean & comfortable. The Shakespeare is centrally located & convenient for all amenities.
  : The business had just changed hands & we weren't able to check in until later than indicated, also no meals available. This was just a temporary issue but could have been notified in advance. Car Park is through a narrow arch which was a very tight squeeze for my Seat Ibiza. Managed to negotiate it successfully with direction from my passenger, however would probably park elsewhere next time.

  : Perfect location and liked that the rooms were accessible from outside so that there was no need to go into the pub when we returned from an evening out. Very welcoming host and friendly staff.
  : Breakfast toast needed to be given a little nudge along. I also question the need to put baked beans in rammekins though I admit that this is something that is irksome to me but likely tolerated by the population at large.
