  : I didn't know what to expect from a gay hotel, but our visit was great. We made actual friends by the pool, everyone was really friendly, all kinds of body types/ages/nationalities are hanging out together. On Saturdays there's a small afternoon dj-party for a few hours, the rest of the time it was calm. The gym was simple but fine, lunch was affordable and good. Staff was amazing. From the front desk (Carmen, Daniel) to the bar (Luis) and even housekeeping (Begonia): everyone was super friendly. I mean how often do you remember hotel staff by their name? We felt very welcome. Oh and NO CHILDREN in this hotel, which is such a dream.
  : The beds deserve some attention. Our mattress was not great. Housekeeping was really kind and put on an extra 'topping' layer to even it out, that helped a lot. Beyond that the hotel was all good.

  : Good location adult only (aimed at gay audience, and proud to define itself as heterofriendly).Room was basic and functional - met my needs for a lads week away. Good location for walking to Yumbo, and about 20 min walk to beach.
  : Communication was generally ok but could have been better. Some slight confusion over some questions asked prior to stay. We knew we were there during Carnival but hasnt realised we were there during Bear Week and was not aware the hotel was hosting several events. Some pre-advice on this would would have been good. Room was a little tired in my view. There were never any towels available for the pool.

  : The location of this hotel is very good. Close to the nightlife in Yumbo Center. The staff is very friendly and help you. The cleaning staff is amazing.
  : The bed was absolutely a nightmare. Woke up everyday with heavy pain in the body. The water in the pool was too cold.

  : The staff is amiable and helpful. They always try to help you with the majority of requests. My special thanks go to Kevin at the reception. The water in the pool is refreshing, not for everyone l, but I loved that. The gym is well equipped. I was able to continue with my daily workout routine, which was great.
  : The rooms are old. Even they did some renovations. The bar is not open in the evening hours, which is a bit weird because I would expect the opposite. They still use cards as room keys. I suggest to upgrade and start using bracelets. The kitchen needs an upgrade. I ordered chicken with rice. It was the work meal I've ever had. On the other hand, the tuna salad was OK, but generally speaking, do something with the food and the menu. I'm sure you can do a better job. Amenities - The bath mat was missing. You get only a small shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. Its sometimes about a cleaner hunting to get what you need.

  : Carmen on reception was great and helpful. All staff were good.
  : Not like other Axel hotels we have stayed at. Towels were really thin and didnt look clean (not pure white). Room was pitch black every time we walked in - all curtains closed and the room always smelled of cigarette smoke. Every day. It never went away.
