  : Great location on the coast with sea views. On the bus route so easy to get into Edinburgh.Staff very friendly. Lovely cooked breakfast.Comfy bed. Large room.
  : The hotel is rather run down and in need of updating. Apparently it has been taken over by the royal British legion and the bar resembles a working men's club rather than a hotel bar. The decor has seen better days and the furniture is is rather tatty.We stayed for two nights and on the first night we ate at the hotel. My husband enjoyed his meal, however I found mine to be (although the portions were large) very uninspiring. I had chicken liver pate to start and scampi with chips for main. The pate was ok ... nothing special and the main was overcooked,dry and tasteless. Our room ( Room 6 ) had a great view over the sea but it was quite tired and in need of re decoration. The tea tray was extremely dusty, the armchair cushions were cracked and in need of replacing. The furniture had a sticky residue on the surfaces ... anything I put on the bedside table stuck to it! The bedside lamp fizzled and crackled when I switched it on then went off completely so I dared not touch it after that. The TV has a mind of its own - changing channels after about 10-15 minutes of watching and the bathroom was dated, dark and filthy in places. The main ceiling light didn't seem to work when you flicked the switch - only about 4 dim lights over the sink and the tiny lights in the mirror came on .... totally useless for putting your make up on! There was plenty of hot water and the shower had good pressure but that's where the plus points ended.

  : the hotel was located close to our venue, the view from hotel was absolutely stunning, breakfast was lovely
  : The toilet was a big let down, the shower isnt appropriate for the larger human, my husband is not fat but built and couldnt fit in the shower, and it was covered in black mould
