  : Unsuitable for disabled to negotiate all the higgledy piggeldy stairs steps was difficult and at times painful but our money was paid up front and non refundable so we had to grin and bear it. I just wished I had brought some deep sea diving boots to cope with all the raised steps which I kept tripping over. I suppose the alarm bells were ringing when I noticed the staff had mountaineering boots on and were very fit .the shower was neglecting hold rails and anti slip mats so could be dangerous .the breakfast was disappointing in that they called it continental toast etc .Well were not on the continent so why charge nearly 20 quid for two English. We are in England arnt we? Having said this it was OK I mean canterbury was very poor I'm not saying I was expecting to see old white ladies arm in arm dressed in their finest whitsun outfits and bonnets but there were thousands of very loud Mexicans and similar amounts of very drunk england supporters who couldn't hold their drink and were being sick in many quaint alleys. Our visit to the Abbey cathedral was of course the prize of our visit to see the spot where archbishop Thomas a becket met his grisly end .the church entourage were friendly but all in all a fair visit let down by dreadful pedestrian only roadways leading to our hotel and entered only when you had the arms of a orangutan to reach out your car window to Press the button to get permission to enter burgate st.on top of this parking arrangements were trying to say the least also in our room the TV was poor reception we had to carry water upstairs for our drinks .
