  : Steeped in history yet sensitive in contemporary comforts. Central location was a bonus. Great breakfast and honesty bar was brilliant!
  : A minor observation is that you can hear the faint rumble of the trains. Not a problem for us!

  : Perfect location very close to city centre and restaurants and shops. Good breakfast included. Bonus is private and safe parking space. There is a large garden where you can sit and relax on good days. One day I bought my dinner in the supermarket opposite of the hotel and ate it in the garden. In September! What a luxury.
  : Nothing! Only thing you should be aware of is that a train runs directly behind the rooms in the garden. But they don't pass during night time. We are late sleepers, so it did not bother us. O, and yes, don't bring a very large car :)

  : Lovely old building with an interesting history and perfect location. Welcoming staff, room fairly basic but warm, clean and comfortable. Nice garden area. Honesty bar a nice touch. Breakfast went down very well. Last time in Canterbury we stayed at a more expensive hotel nearby but overall preferred staying here.
  : Decor in the rooms is quite basic and TVs are dated but minor quibbles really.

  : Our room was very clean and comfortable, and exceptionally quiet despite the fact that the property stands between a busy main road and the railway. Could occasionally hear the trains passing but it didn't bother us. House of Agnes is also just outside the historical city centre and within easy walking distance of all the local attractions.
  : There was no mini fridge in the room, which would have been a nice addition, especially for a slightly longer stay. And while we appreciated that breakfast was included in our booking, the system of filling in a form the day before to pre-order breakfast was rather awkward. Breakfast itself was also rather underwhelming, both the cooked options and the continental ones were fine but not the best. A buffet would have worked much better.

  : Good size room, nicely decorated. Good facilities in the room.Unfortunately there was scaffolding at the front of the property so couldnt see the original structure. Good location. Friendly, helpful staff.
  : Having to pre order breakfast the day before.We chose the full english.I found the sausage to be grainy, mushrooms were hard, bacon over cooked. Im afraid I didnt eat much of it. My husband did eat his but said it wasnt the best.Also the dining chairs were clear plastic which is fine but the backs were full of handprints/fingerprints making them look filthy and unhygienic in a dining room.
