: The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The room was well-equipped with essential amenities (chair, kettle, coffee, etc.) ensuring a comfortable stay. The hotel was just a few minutes from the city center, with major attractions, restaurants, and shops all within easy walking distance. One thing to note is that the bathroom, although large and spotless, was located outside the room. This was clearly advertised beforehand, so it came as no surprise, but keep that in mind if you prefer an ensuite. I would recommend this hotel for a convenient and comfortable stay in Canterbury.
: A minor downside was the difficulty in bringing my suitcase to the room due to the tiny stairs. The stairs were a bit of a challenge, especially with heavier luggage, but this was a small inconvenience in an otherwise pleasant stay.

Very Poor
Traveller Type: with friends
  : The location was perfect
: It was extremely dirty and when pointing this out to the manager I assume, I was accused of ‘finding things to pick on’ as it wasn’t in my room it was in the communal areas and was spoken to in an extremely rude manner.

: The room is very Georgian high ceiling (creaky floorboards), very close to the centre. The Proprietor was very obliging when I contacted him to leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out. He also contacted me to ask if he could change to summer duvet because we had one of those rare heat spikes. Oh yes good mattress (always important consideration in my book )
: Given the house is Georgian the room has limited plug sockets, there was a shower cubical in the room which was OK and the exclusive WC was down a couple of steps on the landing (however I did know about this before booking) Saying that I think this was reflected in the price of the room (where to pay for all mod-cons is a lot more in high season tourist filled Canterbury).
