  : Our 5 day stay at Espejo Magico was fantastic. The apartment is located in a quiet street in the heart of Madrid. Couple of minutes walk to Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and too many restaurants to count. There is a fabulous boulangerie and cafe (see photo) a few doors down from the apartment with atmosphere, good coffee and pastries and a small open space in front of the building with a pretty fountain. Dia supermarket 2 blocks away on Calle de Santa Clara.The apartment itself was perfect for us. Two bedroom (one double and one with two single beds) plus an en-suite bathroom for eachbedroom on the first floor of the building. There is a lift big enough for two people and luggage. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics including a basket of croissants, jam and bread for breakfasts. There is tea, coffee (Nespresso pod machine) milk and a range of juices in the fridge. Also a washing machine and drying rack provided. Lovely little balcony big enough for two to enjoy a leisurely lunch and glass of wine and watch the world go by. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms and the lounge Opera Station is a very short walk and from there the Metro will quickly get you to any part of the city. We bought a 10 trip ticket to share between the two of us, which cost about 11 Euro. The card is able to be shared so one person goes through the gate and passes the card back to the other to use and it can be topped up as required. The metro is very easy to navigate - there is an app which gives very clear directions about the different lines and where to change. Signage in the stations is also very clear.The Free Now app allows you to easily book a taxi without having to call. Taxis are plentiful and clean with reasonable prices.HOHO bus (we had a 2 day pass) allows you to get an overall sense of the city with commentary in English - though at times the synching was a bit off.
  : Only negative is the smell in the front bathroom due to slow drainage in the shower.

  : Excellent and nice place, centrally located in downtown Madrid, a short walk away from Opera station. Very well kept and equipped for a family of four.

  : The apartment was a very cosy and nice 2 bedroom + 2 bathroom house. The host was very sweet and she helped us check in. The location is absolutely perfect too. We loved our stay here. The host had kept bread, tea, coffee, croissants, milk and juice that we could have as breakfast
