  : The medium-sized rooms were clean and quiet and well stocked. The lift worked and the place was very clean. A very good Breakfast was served in a nice area overlooking the square in front of the station. The staff were reassuring and helpful.
  : Some of this is not your fault. But - we didn't like that the hotel knew we were driving, but had not thought to tell us that the hotel was completely inaccessible because of the major roadworks in front of it. There was a deal with the local car-park and the hotel did not helpfully tell us to go to the park first and get a ticket which they could redeem for us. With some hotels, you have to get this ticket first from the hotel to save the money. We thus spent some while trying to park nearer and eventually just dumped the car with its hazard lights going so we could walk to the hotel for information. The area was really run down and full of drug users, sharp faced men circling on bikes, young men idling against the walls eyeing you up, the car-park stairs and exits covered in piss and faeces. No way would I go in that car park after dark. They are obviously developing the area but it was so depressing. We left our car in the carpark overnight and I could not sleep because I was so anxious that it would be damaged, (although it was ok the next day). The hotel entrance had some vagrants outside and the area style was of faded (very faded) gentility. Going up to the reception, it was again faded and rather cramped, so much so that I did not want to pay until I had seen the rooms. I was genuinely expecting to say that I was not going to stay or pay and that I would go somewhere else. But the rooms were fine, the staff members so pleasant, and the area only 5 minutes away near the cathedral and also by the cable car was lovely. Excellent French restaurant.

  : Relatively central, opposite the Railway station. Clean and decent sized rooms.
  : Wifi set up was not straightforward, nor was it stable. Kept turning off, asking for two tier verification/passwords every time it did. Stopped using it after 3 rd drop-off.
