  : The pub / hotel was lovely great location, great beer garden, lovely river at the bottom and free parking. I would go back and would stay there. Plenty of shops and lots of amazing old buildings to see and a nice river walk if you have time.
  : The waiting on staff I think may be a Iittle stressed, no time for anything other than plonking plates down and moving on. But they may have been short staffed, it happens. The hotel itself.. we got shown to room 108 first, the feature room shown in the photos with the bit of wallpaper, looked amazing...., however the one very small window was totally blocked with a giant incredibly noisy metal extractor type chimney from the take away next door, such a shame for the hotel, we were told it goes off at 11pm which we could have coped with but there was still no window you could see out of other than the seeing the metal chimney, no good if you have claustrophobia! the room should also be discounted and explained why before people are put in it, the ladies in reception were nice and thankfully there was another room available, 201 room great, windows you could see out of but the most uncomfortable bed I've ever tried to sleep in, it was like, I would imagine a water bed would feel like... had a terrible night.
