: Lovely hotel and spa- setting and decor beautiful and facilities are great
: The service is poor. We wanted to get room service and menu says to dial 0 but there was no phone in the room (203) so we had to call via phone and took several attempts to get through. Room service on a Sunday ended quite early at 9pm and nothing available except cold sandwich which wed have to go down for and after a spa that wasnt ideal.Netflix on tv wouldnt work after much faffing with trying to get it connected to internet via a long winded hotel web page- still didnt work. Person on reception said he didnt know how to sort it and didnt offer anyone to look or help.Breakfast - only people in restaurant at 7am. My husband ordered a bacon sandwich which came with a hair. No one came to check everything was ok and no one in sight , despite not being busy so we didnt stay or get replacement as needed to leave - did inform at check out but we didnt have time to wait for duty manager.Overall lovely place and spa but service quite poor given the setting and cost which lets this hotel down,

Very Poor

: Not a lot. The coffee was good.
: The hotel was booked months in advance for a family wedding with specific room requests made as I have grown up children who are very tall. We rang ahead of arrival to confirm that check in would be late. When we arrived there was confusion as to which 3 rooms were assigned to us. After a lengthy delay we were given 3 room cards. The first room we went into was already occupied with a sleeping couple. A shock to all parties. The 2nd and 3rd rooms were not made as twins as requested (small doubles) and the 4th room when finally allocated was filthy. We had no curtains so woke to the sun at 5.15am. Breakfast was overcooked, and staff were grumpy. Our American family with us were not impressed at all. Overall not value for money.

: The character and the setting.
: The instructions for the coffee machine were not correct had the duty manager up twice then had to google how to use it.Would prefer simple coffee sachet. We were on the front and there were people smoking directly under our window so could not open the window and it was very hot.
