  : Our room (a junior suite) had great views and was very comfortable. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. We ate in both the bar and the restaurant and also had room service one night and all the food was good. The gardens looked lovely - the weather was cool and damp while we were there, but if it were a lovely summer's day I can imagine sitting out would be great.
  : The bar can feel a bit cramped as it's small and popular, although there are other areas where we could have sat with our drinks and bar food.

  : The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and furnished to a very good standard.
  : We ate in the restaurant in the evening, we had a main meal and dessert. The food was nice but the portions of the main meal were small and a bit overpriced. The chocolate fudge cake for dessert was again expensive for a bought in cake.The breakfast buffet was disappointing, breakfast is served 8am-10am we arrived at 9am and were told to help ourselves from the buffet. The only items available were fruit juice and packet cereals, the remaining food items had run out. I asked if there were more pastries and was told they were in the oven. They arrived 35 minutes later slightly overcooked. Other items on the buffet were also very slow to arrive.Our food ordered from the kitchen, my toast and my partners scrambled egg weren't served at the same time so I had finished mine before his arrived. There were plenty of staff who were all very nice but it seemed a bit chaotic.

  : Fantastic location on the edge of the village with wonderful views. Lovely gardens. We had the junior suite at the rear and the room was large with views at the rear overlooking the valley
