  : The location is excellent. The view, of the harbour, from bedroom 5 is fantastic. The staff are so pleasant and welcoming. They let us leave our cases in the office which saved us lugging them around all day.

  : Location was brilliant - right on the sea front. Reviews said that noise can be a problem at this hotel but I wasn't above the bar and wasn't disturbed at all. Room was fine and comfortable if a little dark.
  : I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. I would have liked to know a bit more about meals from the staff when I checked in.

  : Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and polite.Room was OK and generally clean. Our towels were changed everyday. Comfortable bed, clean linen and extra blankets available. Wall heater if needed.Kettle and plenty of tea coffee etc. in room. Shower was easy to use and hot. Breakfast was available (not included in cost of room) with a good choice and delicious. Quiet at night at the start of the week.Great location.
  : Noisy at the weekends from the bar and lounge below (take earplugs). The decor is in need of a refresh and room was dull and dark. Also would benefit from a deep clean as dirt/ mould in a few areas. A lot more curtain hooks needed for the curtains.The twin room was an odd layout with only one person able to view the TV from their bed, but there were a couple of seats.

  : The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and overlooked the harbour.
  : This is a very run down and shabby hotel. If I hadn't paid in advance I would have turned away at the front door (dirty, messy and needs repainted - not at all welcoming). There was no dining room - meals served in the lounge bar. Furnishings and decor very old, dated and tarnished. Our shower base was broken, and the shower itself was very small and rickety. Standard lamp in our room didn't work. Standard of cleaning was poor and erratic. I had to clean a glass top on the chest of drawers myself as it was ignored. We moved the kettle and tray as it was a health and safety issue - placed below the television! There was a lot of noise inside and outside the hotel till after midnight. Represented very poor value for money - we paid £126 per night for the room, which did not include a cooked breakfast. Very disappointed!
