  : It was a small room, but compared to other rooms at this price the size was decent. The location was absolutely perfect. The galata neighbourhood is the most family friendly and versatile neighbourhood in Istanbul. You have easy access to both metro, bus and tram. The hotel room was clean and had a small cute balcony. We did have a mini fridge as well. That was about it. You have to climb all the stairs and the room was only good for sleeping. Nothing else to offer in the hotel.

  : The rooms are very spacious and a nice compact bathroom with a good-sized shower. The staff could not be more helpful and are very friendly - providing fresh fruit and water whenever they see you. The location is also great - a short walk away from Taksim and the Galata Tower.

  : Would not recommend if you are looking to get what your paid for! I liked when I actually got put into the room that I booked, after 2 nights in the small standard room.
  : I booked a 4 night stay at Galata Co Hotel in the Deluxe Queen Room. Unfortunately, I was placed in a standard room for 2 of the 4 nights due to what the property claims was "technical difficulties." The property agreed to refund the difference between the rooms, which they said was 25euro per night. I told them the room rates listed on the accommodation booking sites indicated that it was in fact closer to a 50euro difference per night, but they didn't care. While I was still staying at the accommodation, I was advised by Ali that the refund had been processed back to booking.com and would be in my account within 15 days.... Well what a lie that was! Since the start of June, I have been contacting both booking.com and Galata Co Hotel directly multiple times per week chasing up this 50 euro refund. When Booking.com has contacted Oktek and Ali regarding the refund, their response is always that it was initiated at the bank but the bank advised them "it just might take a little longer." I'm pretty sure there is no bank in the world that takes months to process a transaction. Oktek and Ali have been provided with multiple opportunities to process the refund they agreed to, yet they continuously make excuses and act like they are confused. If you look through the other reviews, there have been multiple customers who have complained about being placed in the standard room, when they booked and paid for the Deluxe Queen. And don't expect any form of compensation, because you clearly won't get it! Would not recommend if you are looking to get what you paid for! I expect Galata Co Hotel will reply to this review to state they have processed the refund, but I'll believe it when Booking.com confirm they have received the money.
