  : the decoration of the rooms and the quietness. the location was wonderful - 5min from the harbour. on the Azores it often smells a bit moldy - not herethe two bakeries close by serve very nice breakfast
  : there is a steep stair to reach the rooms as mentioned in other reviews. everything else is perfect

  : Cute little rooms which look nice and cozy, comfortable bed, silent rooms, free unlimited coffee and water, relatively new bathroom, good location with lots of free parking spots directly nearby, very friendly & helpful staff
  : Room strongly smelled chemical of air refresher, we got headache from it in the first night. We removed it than, but afterwards some kind of "mold smell" came through (which probably explains the heavy use of air refreshers). That was very unpleasant. Apart from that, it's a bit uncomfortable that there is no breakfast option, no fridge, no dishes or whatsoever. Finally, the Wifi didn't really work, especially in the evening it was basically unusable.

  : Was lovely to arrive in Madelena to a warm greeting from Deborah, a clean and well appointed room and a wonderful selection of local products. Theres a great view looking at Pico Mountain There was only one criticism and this is NOT THE HOTELS FAULT! - the hotel is located on one of the very narrow streets and at night theres the occasional loud vehicle zooming through. These are not So if you are prepared you will be ok!
