  : Quaint boutique hotel. Staff was wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. The location was at most, a 10 minute walk to the museum district. Although there was street construction going on, our room 3rd floor) was very quiet. Highly recommend staying here.

  : Breakfast was good although at 22 euros it needed to be. Rooms were a good size and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was, in one respect, excellent as it was so close to so many of the key elements of the city but, in another respect, an issue, as the night time noise in the busy streets outside was very intrusive. We were woken 4 nights out of 5 between 1.00 and 4.00 a.m and we were on the fourth floor! Don't understand why there is no double glazing to try and lessen the noise.
  : Shower in the room was old and temperamental. Water pressure was just about OK but temperature kept fluctuating even though the taps weren't being touched. Every 2 or 3 minutes water became way too hot for about 20 seconds. Housekeeping was odd. Dirty coffee cups were never cleared away, bottled water was replaced one day and then not the next, towels were replaced on a totally random basis but the cleaning was generally good. Decor was definitely dated particularly the stairways if you decided not to take the lift.

  : There was construction outside the hotel, not an issue with Dikker & Thijs, but I would have appreciated an advance note about it. It did impact our view from the hotel room.
