  : Staff and location (in terms of easy access to a very convenient bus route) are the assets of that place. We really enjoyed the warm welcome each time we went up for the breakfast. Staff also helped us with changing our room (please see what we did not like section), trying to sort out our ironing or making delicious espresso in the morning. Location-wise. The neighbourhood is not as bad as it looks, although due to the "tent city" right across the nearby city walls (how historical!) I would not recommend walking there at night. There are a couple of really good restaurants around.
  : The place is not a four star hotel. It should be, in fact, a hostel (and a mediocre one). My rating (2.0) reflects that fact. The rooms are very seriously dated. The AC system is a nightmare. The place is not exactly clean. We found mold in the bathroom (see the pictures) of our first room, which was incredibly small. After complaining, we got a better room, but it still looked like the time stopped there mid-80s. The breakfast is hostel-style (very very limited - only the coffee stood out). In short, it seems that were duped into paying almost EUR 1k for staying in a hostel for 6 days. Ants were indeed spotted as flagged in other reviews (which we should have taken onboard). THEY DO NOT EVEN PROVIDE IRONS AND IRONING BOARDS. In any other city (including likes of London), EUR 1k would be sufficient to have a proper 4-star experience. In short - if you are already thinking about spending this amount of money for a trip to Rome, do yourself a favour: find a better place. Why Booking.com allows this business to advertise as a 4 star hotel is beyond me.
