  : The location was excellent though noisy.no double glazing and creaky doors.Three rooms but only two on suite unfortunately ours wasnt.We had our own bathroom but had to walk down the hall past the kitchen to access it.We couldnt check in until six oclock and they wouldnt let us leave our heavy cases.We arrived at ten and were told we would have to find somewhere else to store our luggage.Same on leaving though they did allow us to leave at twelve after arguing our flight wasnt until five so dragging cases around again.Not one English Channel on the tv not even bbc news.Breakfast was a few biscuits a Croissant and jam and an express o coffee pod.I would have been happy with a bowl of cereal and instant coffee.The rooms were spotless but the lack of privacy not having an on suite was embarrassing and spoilt our experience.

  : Unfortunately, the transport was late and I had to beg a lot to get into the room and not stay on the street. They didn't even properly send us photos in advance of what the entrance looked like or how to get up to the sixth floor. The elevator was in a very strange place and we found it only on the third day. I think the host should simplify the check-in procedure and be more flexible to the situation. What about the breakfast.There was only one croissant, one juice,tea, coffee capsules (but only one day), some cookies and fruit jam. No more choice

  : The location was ideal, as it was at the heart of the city and major attractions like the Aquarium and Marine Museum were within walking distance! The host was also friendly and had many recommendations regarding sightseeing and restaurants which we appreciated!
  : Understandably, it's an old building, I believe we were told that the base is from the 1300s, so do not expect everything to be up to perfection. Also, the ventilation in the bathroom isn't that good, so expect some dampness.

  : room is very basic, and we had to settle for 2 singles re availability - however despite the room/building being a little older, the beds were deceptively comfortable (we like firm beds). For the price it was excellent

  : The room was clean. The kitchen area was helpful and clean.
  : Maurizio, the owner, is not professional. Nor is he empathetic. Our flight from the USA was scheduled to land in Genova at 6:35 pm. Due to bad weather it had to make an emergency landing at the Milan airport. The airline was getting land transportation to return 150 passengers back to Genova, but arrival would not be until 11 pm or midnight. When I phone Maurizio from the Milan airport about 8 pm, he denied us entry. We had already paid and had confirmation for 3 nights. Maurizio demonstrated even less empathy when he would not allow us entry on the second day until his 6-8 pm check-in time. This meant that we had to find a place to stay the night the plane made an emergency landing, loose money on our first night (which he never offered to refund), and carry our luggage around all day the second day until he was ready to allow us to check-in at 6pm. We have never given a booking a bad rating before, but since we have 15 years as vacation home rental owners ourselves, we know that no matter how inconvenient it is, the professional and more importantly, the compassionate response is to assist travelers, especially those who are having difficulties.

  : bathroom was clean, even if it is outside the room.
  : Room has a very old furniture with an bad scent. it is like in a cave, low light, bad scent. A lot of noise from outside, the windows dosent close well.No soap or shampoo in bath.Very dangerous position, in a area with a lot of imigrants.

  : Interesting place, you feel like in the very heart of Genoa, curious house. Cozy furniture, very welcoming host.
  : It was a bit cool for me at night. And a very complicated system of approaching the apartment. First we didn't know, that elevator exists in the house and walked by foot.
