  : The Hotel Finn is right downtown yet a very safe and economical place. I loved the way this old building's rooms had been renovated, making our room seem classic as well as convenient. I felt I lived in Helsinki rather than visited it. The staff were helpful and even stored some of our bags while we went to a national park for 2 days.
  : More access to the microwave would have been great.

  : As soon as we walked into our room we wanted to change hotels, but we had already paid. We are both petite people, and we could hardly fit into the small lift with 2 large suitcases; the lift seemed to be operated by a man pulling a rope. The hallways were terrifying and resembled a horror movie. No windows, filthy and black and red, like a psychological maze. I wasn't sure if I was in a SAW movie or if I was about to see the twins from The Shinning. The staff were okay but not enthusiastic about greeting guests (as if they didn't like their job). The room and bathroom were small (not like in the photos). You could actually use the toilet whilst brushing my teeth over the bathroom sink. There were no amenities, no wardrobes, no kettle. Very basic. The beds were like traditional Japanese beds (which is fine if you're staying in Japan), but these beds were so hard and we only got one pillow each - the pillow was some cheap nylon or cotton pillow; uncomfortable. It felt like staying at a cheap backpackers hostel.

  : Large bed and room for a single; good bathroom. All very clean. Very good location - less than 10mins walk from railway station; among cafes and bars. Lockers for luggage storage. No breakfast but cafes nearby with discount.
  : I’m not sure about the aircon as the room was fine with window open.
