  : Friendly staff made us feel welcome, free glass of wine on arrival was lovely. The location was great, right in the middle of town, giving easy access to shops, pubs, restaurants & attractions. The property was set back slightly which meant the noise from the highstreet was never a problem. The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated & hot drink services, towels, soaps shampoos ece were pletily available.
  : Bathroom fan was extremely noisy an ran for a long duration after the bathroom light was used which prevented us from using the bathroom light during the night. The radiator thermostat didn't seem to regulate the heating the adjust ment was either on full or off completely. Additional very small bottles of drinking water were charged at three pounds each which seemed a bit excessive.

  : Almost everything. A lot of stairs to our room! But quite negotiable. Wish staff hadn't promised a room change to the ground floor that couldn't be delivered, though. Loved this hotel. Enjoyed the decor, and pictures of judges.

  : Clean, smart and great location, bed very comfortable and two person bath in bedroom was excellent for romantic evening
  : Couple of minor things needed replacing or repairing in room but did not impact on stay. More drawers in room would have been useful for clothing.

  : The location was excellent - within walking distance of all we could have wanted to see or do. The staff was very friendly and the complementary items in the room (coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits) were much appreciated. The room was very clean.
  : It would have been nice to know there was no lift - having to lug our suitcases up the back stairs two long flights was unexpected. The ventilation in the bathroom could have been better - the air never quite cleared after a shower. But given the nature of the building (very old) we were accepting of these inconveniences.
