  : A member of management needs to sleep in room 140 on a Saturday evening!! The two doors which hinge onto the wall of the room squeak and bang all night long. Then just as you are getting off to sleep they squeak and bang from early morning. The room was nearly 40 degrees at one point. The bed is not comfortable, the pillows are rock hard. A thoroughly miserable experience. We actually opted to go home early and not stay the second night because the room was so poor.

  : The hotel in a lovely quite place felt very safe going out and about in the evenings x
  : First night the room was only set up for one person the room was so hot that it was unbearable to be in there the fan was so small did not help at all the windows could not be opened x I paid for a upgrade which was not worth the extra money I have stay in best Western hotel few times and a standard double would have be the same only difference was having a sofa which we never sat on we were in a top floor room the ceiling all slope my sister almost knock herself out trying to plug kettle in x there was no working fan in bathroom x the bedding was Mark x the corridors was litter with dirty plates and glasses x the breakfast was not worth the extra 14 pound each every day of the stay x the eggs were like rubber and the scramble eggs were dry and grey in colour x the continental breakfast did not look to good as it had sat there many hours the bananas were very brown only good to be turn into banana bread x the court yard was litter with cigarette buds the Ash trays were not empty all weekend or tables were wipe cups and glasses were left all day on tables

  : Location is fabulous and I liked the cozy ambience inside the hotel.ask
  : I upgraded to a double room but was not told there was then no lift, only a very steep staircase ( I am 82 years old ) .On top of that the fire alarm went off 8 times on Saturday September 9th.....not too impressed!!

  : I absolutely love this place. The staff are kind of quirky, but thats ok. The daycare down below is a great alarm clock, and thats ok. You can get just about everything you need within walking distance. And my favorite is the full English breakfast with beans and fried tomatoes. (I live in Nevada where we have huge buffets etc but there is something about that breakfast that lures me back.)Im tempted to hop on a plane and just chill at The Ship for a week.

  : Everything about our stay was amazing.... the room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The court yard was lovely and convenient for chilling in day and night. The staff were perfect.
  : The only niggle that my partner had was...there was a fire drill at 7.20 on our day of departure and although we suspect it was only a drill, there was no register taken to ensure ALL guests were present and safe.....
