  : Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a suite which was very clean.All the housekeepers in the corridors said Hello or Good Afternoon, which is a very nice touch.Very comfortable beds and lovely pillows!Reception, breakfast staff, bar staff, housekeepers, etc. were all very nice. This is a lovely location with the river across the road and easy access to Warwick by car.
  : Missed the part where we had to pay for parking . We were going to stay for 3 nights but had to cut it back to one, which had we stayed the 3 nights meant an extra £24.00 on top of the £600+ for the accommodation.Whilst the room was very clean, the lounge area almost seemed unfinished. There were some nice touches, so not all doom and gloom. The TV didn't work, but the one in the bedroom did (we forgot to.let Reception know-sorry). However, the wall where the TV was situated in the lounge area was bare and could have done with a couple of pictures on either side of it to make it more homely and welcoming. It was very sparse that area which was in stark contrast to the bedroom area which was great. I feel that adorning more on the walls would make it feel more value for money as it is a large area, but it seems to be a bit of an afterthought. It lacked a bit of love and attention to detail.Breakfast was disappointing. My poached egg was stone cold, which was swiftly replaced with 2 more, again cold, and one yolk was hard (and cold). I was hoping for freshly cooked replacement, but anyway. Bacon was hard...it was all very disappointing, which is a shame as the staff were lovely and keen to please. I will say the tomato was really nice..Getting coffee from the machine was a faff and took ages... I'm not sure how that would work with a fully occupied hotel. Personally, if it was my hotel, I would offer tea and coffee brought to the table in pots with the offer of using the machine if the guest preference was a latte or cappuccino. On our way home, my partner and I were trying to put our finger on why we didn't feel love for the Hotel and eventually came to the conclusion that everything felt it was done on a shoe string.However, it has a lot of good going for it. Clearly, because of the location, it will remain popular, but for us, and it is only our opinion, it lacked a bit of something.

  : We were fortunate enough to have the Shakespeare Suite. It was situated at the front of the hotel but was, surprisingly, very quiet. Very well furnished with plenty of room. Very comfortable.
  : Food & service in Le Bistrot Pierre was excellent. However, the service in the Bear Pub was sadly lacking.There was a private function in Le Bistro on the Saturday we were staying and food service defaulted to the Bear Pub - not a good solution as the staff were hard to find. We ate elsewhere..!!!

  : A very comfortable room in an excellent location within easy walking distance of the theatre and main facilities of the town
  : Minor quibbles- the towel heater was ineffective and the sliding cupboard doors were not working well. More fresh fruit at breakfast would have been welcome
