: Run down dirty, it it closing in 4 weeks and it is in the state of unacceptable as accommodation . Not even reaching 1 star at 4 star price.

  : Leaving it
: The lack of care. The room was like time had forgotten it yet the rooms in the ad looked great like it was a different hotel. I only wish I had taken photos of room 106. Small dark room, very dated , dusty , dirty shower screen and very grubby carpet paid for two nights and stayed for one. Told the reason why and it was ignored just like the email I sent the hotel.

Good
Traveller Type:
: Central location, comfortable beds, great breakfast.
: Changed rooms as the first one wasn't the one that I had booked. It was at the back of the building. The paint was peeling off the walls, and the view was a roof and a wall. The second room was better, at the front of the hotel, but it was much too warm. We left the window open for some air but there was lots of road noise. The ceiling in the bathroom was damp and you could hear next door talking, going to the loo and snoring. Both rooms could do with some tlc and updating. The carpets and furniture are very tired, and the corners could do with a clean as they were very dusty. Overall, this is a very old hotel with lots of character. It was comfortable and had everything you need in the room and the staff were all very pleasant. It's just a shame that it's not show cased to its full potential and relevant to the prices. We booked and paid for two nights but only stayed for one.

  : The location
: Not worth the price, for the room we had, this was our 4th stay, and was the most we had paid, the room was small and no security easy open lock, you had to use a security change, not good if there was a fire, had to ask twice for an extra pillow and had to wait 15 to get a drink at the bar, unfortunately will probably be our last stay at this hotel, as not worth the amount we paid.
