  : Daish's is a nice enough hotel, it's a very old building but quite well kept and in a great location for Shanklin Town, restaurants bars and shops, and a short walk to the beach. It is clean and our room had recently been redecorated with a new carpet. The beds and the linen were also very comfortable and there was a good supply of hot drinks replenished with fresh towels every day. Covid is making everything difficult obviously but to be honest the rainy weather spoilt it more than face masks!
  : Drove there and even though there is a small car park for guests I was told that it was only available for first come first serve... ie. Those who arrive earlier in the week on the "self drive" Daish's option, which I found quite ridiculous and a little unreasonable as I was also a paying guest, but through Booking.com. First come first served surely on each day but not based on when other people arrive for their stay? Fortunately the manager let me park there and block her in but there was plenty of space anyway. There is enough room for another 4 or 5 cars if people block each other in. It only takes a bit of simple organisation to shift cars around in the morning if people need to get out. It turned out not to be a problem anyway.

  : The location is very good if you don't want to drive as there are bus stops right outside the hotel, with regular buses to Newport and Ryde Bus Stations for the Catamaran or Hovercraft!! It is also not far from local shops, pubs and the beach is also short walk away!! The Hotel also does Day Trips if you want to go on them at 10 per person!! The Breakfast is very nice, with cooked breakfast as well which was always hot!!
  : Communication telling us where we had to go for breakfast would have been nice as we had no idea!!

  : Clean rooms (could do with modernisation). Good tea and coffee facilities in the room. Friendly staff.
  : We werent told when booking that it would be a continental breakfast. Having paid for breakfast we expected a cooked breakfast. We wouldve been happy to eat this outside but a continental breakfast in our room with 3 children under 5 was not an enjoyable or relaxing start to our days.

  : The hotel was lovely, clean and tidy. Bathroom area was lovely and clean. Staff fantastic and as far as I could tell had everything you would need for a nice holiday
  : The hotel was not offering the breakfast as advertised and I had not received an email to tell me this. The lady was so helpful and dealt with us brilliantly but I feel some communication would of been helpful beforehand

  : Its v close to the town centre n location is great.Its not as good as it looks in the pictures
  : -V old building, it was rip off price for bank holiday weekend. -No handwash in the toilet but it was replaced when we asked -we had v annoying next door neighbours n someone on upper story started walking in their room at 11pm n it disturbed our sleep. Tried to contact Reception but no help available n sound was enhanced due to old squeaky wooden flooring.-No free parking onsite
