  : The location is so good .Easy to get around to everywhere. Breakfast for me was exceptional but my husband had some things he didn't like . The host was lovely . She booked us a table in a nice pub not too far away .Very attentive at Breakfast . The bathroom was outstanding. Very clean everywhere. Things we didn't experience . Cocktail gathering .Lots of books etc . Lovely lounge room to relax in . I think anything you may have needed would have had good attention .
  : For us I think age may have had made a few reasons for not scoring higher. Chairs , mmm , bit too low for us to be really comfortable . Lovely old house , floors creak that's inevitable but the chairs did too so it felt a little conspicuous. Flask of drinking water . It's a beautiful house & you know certain things can't be helped but plugging in kettle,hairdryer seemed to be in the wrong place . I loved the breakfast but my husband didn't . I do feel that that that's a personal reference really .

  : The location is perfectly situated for local walks and rambles in this part of the Dales, or for excursions to surrounding villages and areas of interest, and Sarah provided excellent suggestions to cover all preferences. The house was absolutely lovely with attractive decor and attentive but not intrusive hosts. This is a very dog friendly property with spacious, spotless, and comfortable en suite rooms and decent WiFi. I especially enjoyed the library. Although Stow House doesn't serve evening meals, there are plenty of options for dining in local pubs and restaurants.
  : Very happy to have real coffee as an option, both in my room and at breakfast and the yogurt and homemade granola with fruit compote was absolutely delicious but the breakfast options overall seemed a bit plain.

  : We were made to feel very welcome. Sarah was friendly and kindly organised a booking for dinner for us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night but it was a great place and lovely location in which to break up our journey

  : It was amazing to arrive at the beautiful elegant Stow house after a long drive and be greeted by Sarah, a very hospitable host, who offered us an aperitif and showed us to our lovely room with everything we could have wanted to wind down (we have had a busy few months). Ordering Ordering breakfast was easy and the home cooked breakfast was a delight. Had a great chat with Kathy who's been housekeeper for decades. The art was interesting to look at and there's lots of great indoor snd outdoor spaces to relax in. We'd definitely come again
  : Just One Thing is we would have liked more lamps in the room, it was a bit bright when night fell
