  : Location...very convenient for shops, pubs and steam trains. Comfy beds. Spacious. Also a good walking area.
  : Some observations are admittedly a matter of personal taste eg very dated wall covering in bathroom and faded bedding and towels no longer white. Others are more specific ie dirty oven, cups put back unwashed, no safety mat for the bath, weeds in front and back gardens. We could not get the hob to work. Ivy was growing right across the vent for the central heating..it would fail a gas safety check. Comments by previous visitors have not been acted on.

  : welcome package, self catering. Opposite Pickering Railway Station(NYMR) main reason for going, travelling by steam locomotive to Whitby, seeing steam locos from the bedroom/or lounge window without having to step outside the house. National trust and English heritage places nearby to visit and national bird of prey centre(brilliant fly past demos), Eden camp military centre(a good day out) for all ages.
  : dings in the wall in main bedroom around the window and inside the wardrobe nearest the window. cooker instructions would help ,ended up using the microwave a lot. found instructions for the hob but not the cooker. Parking outside property a bit tricky, free overnight parking opposite house but you had to move the car before 9.00am frequent traffic warden.

  : The location is excellent, the property has good central heating and hot water and the beds were comfortable
  : The property decoration is dated. We were told on the phone a welcome pack with milk, bread, biscuits would be in the cottage on arrival, this was not available so its better not to mention it as we would have picked up milk on our way. There were no instructions on how to dispose of the rubbish and recycling and no outside bin for such was seen, we would have been happy to dispose of our rubbish but didnt know where to take it. No welcome folder was provided with information and perhaps important telephone numbers. One of the worst things was the inside of the cooker and extractor fan were dirty this was a big put off cleanliness is very important, insufficient cutlery, a mix of odd glasses, plates etc, we were disappointed.
