  : Very unimpressed overall. Bed was comfortable.
  : Room had extractor fans outside which woke us up, was also stuffy and the temperature control on the shower was very stiff. Checkin was automatic, and no information provided about meal times, wifi etc.Buffet breakfast in enormous room which felt designed for large coach parties. No staff around at lot of the time.

  : It could do with a good coat of paint and renovation. You have to enter through the ‘smokers’ stoic on the door step. The reception area is poorly organised, you can’t get to the desk to talk comfortably to the receptionist. The entry to the rooms is through the bar. When there is football on this is poorly thought out. The corridors were strewn with rubbish and cleaning materials and dirty laundry. A H&S nightmare. The corridors had ripped wallpaper and well worn carpets. The room was ok, but the bathroom had a terrible damp smell. We had to keep the door closed. They were unable to offer us an acceptable dining time in the evening and no apology was even offered. We consequently ate elsewhere. Breakfast was ok. The rear car park is very bad, gravel and stones, I can’t imagine what this is like in the wet. Poor attitude to us checking out, those screens in the reception area are not user friendly.

  : The hotel had limited private parking, was close to the centre of town with coffee shops, pubs and restaurants all within walling distance. A walk along the river is only two minutes walk from the hotel.
  : Some rooms do not have lift access so make aure you ask for a room with lift access when you book.
