Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : A nice quiet setting
: After contacting the owners twice to confirm arrival time as requested we arrived as planned and then had to wait to book in. Other guests were waiting so the greeting was minimal and rushed. We were handed a sheet and sown to our room.I appreciate that it is an old property but it was all a bit tatty, chipped paint stains and marks on the walls. The bathroom was clean though. The pillows were quite nice and soft but the duvet was all lumpy and needs replacing. There were also bits of lint and fluff on the sheet which is not what you expect when paying over150 for a night. The selection on the tea tray was varied and we were brought some fresh milk on request. The breakfast is taken in the equestrian cafe which was pleasant but we were not given a menu so opted for the full English. It was all cooked very well but because we had no choice I had a sausage, potatoes and spinach which I didnt eat. If I had sight of a menus I would have said to not include them. I just dont like the though5 of good food being wasted
