  : The location was fantastic - could leave the car in the car park and use the hop on hop off bus to get around - or walk - only a ten minute walk into Oxford centre. Staff very helpful and welcoming - felt looked after. Great to have the bar for a late evening drink. Breakfast offerings very good and varied . Something for everyone i would say
  : Very expensive for what it was . Although a feature room - £300 a night too much / only chose feature room as a birthday treat. Our room Baliol room was very dark - although good sized and bathroom modern and large. Over bed awning really darkened room and one light switch operated all of lights - all of which gave very little light around the bed area.

  : Great location, 10 minute walk into Oxford. Parking on site which is great for Oxford.
  : Disappointed with room. Very dated and tired. Dust and cobwebs visible. Bathroom ceiling had peeling paint and black marks visible. Layout of bathroom would not work for bigger people as the toilet is too near the sink. Room needs some TLC.

  : The furnishings and especially the public rooms downstairs were beautiful with a lovely old-fashioned charm. Just a real pleasure to spend time in them. My room was very large and it was nice having a bath rather than just a shower. Also, the staff were excellent, very helpful and polite, and I appreciated the help carrying my luggage up the stairs.
  : The room was extremely hot at night, making it hard to breathe, let alone sleep, and it felt dusty also. Unfortunately, the windows didn't open enough to fix this problem. and if there was a fan in the room I didn't see it. The toilet didn't flush properly, which was unpleasant. There was also no iron in the room, although one was made available to me when I asked. Because of these issues I can't rate my stay more highly, despite how much I appreciated the good aspects of it.

  : The location was perfect. The setting was quaint, and the breakfasts were pretty good.
  : The beds and pillows were far from comfortable, but I never use that as a major source of judgement. So many people need so many different types of mattresses and pillows due to good or bad backs etc. Aside from that and the stairs (my knees do not like stairs much and the stairs were VERY narrow, it seemed a well enough stay. Then my friend I was in Oxford to visit told me about the management. He once applied for and got a job there. Working conditions were not to his liking so he quite soon after. He told me how just in order to get his final paycheck it was a major long drawn drama. I do not appreciate places that do not know how to treat employees and for that reason I will stay elsewhere on future trips.

  : No coffee in rooms. Hair (not mine) on bathroom floor. Weeds in flower pots. No air conditioner. We used the fan provided. Stayed one night and ran out of toilet paper (no extra tp anywhere). Cheap polyester bed cover. Hotel was fine in general, nothing special.
