  : I was greeted on arival by peter, who showed me to my room on the ground floor & was very attentive. The room was quite a good size. Everything was spotless & in good decorative order. The bed was nice & comfortable as were the pillows. A frequent 10 minute bus service to & from the town. A branch of Asda just around the corner. A nice kitchen area with plenty of tea,coffee etc to have a brew, also cutlery & an electric toaster. Also a fridge & microwave oven. Comfey armchairs, a dining table & a large screen tv should you wish to eat your food there rather than take it back to your room.
  : The door to my room rattled everytime someone opened a door outside in the corridor. I couldn't open the window in my room (18) although the one in the bathroom was ok to open. I could hear people talking in the street outside even with the window shut. It was a pity the area is a bit rough (I know that this is not the owners fault) which can be a bit off putting.

  : Ideally situated for us. The room was comfortable and clean. The coffee shop breakfasts were good and the staff friendly.
  : There was no hot water on the first morning. The shower floor was slippery when water flowed as it had clearly been polished . There were no grab rails .Surprisingly, there was no means of locking the door on the inside of the room for safety.

  : There was only one member of staff on duty during my brief stay, but he was friendly and professional enough. The parking facilities were good, too. The price was low, but there were reasons for that ...
  : This area of Newcastle is not at all what I expected. It is somewhat run-down, with litter and anti-social behaviour everywhere around (drunks, junkies and ill-mannered louts hanging around the street corners and parks - the exact opposite of what you find in most other parts of Newcastle). Because the room was on the ground floor and the windows faced out onto the pavement of a street corner, I was constantly disturbed when trying to sleep by loud/drunk pedestrians, car horns/alarms and people driving around with their car stereos on full blast. Even internally, there was a lot of noise coming from inside the hotel, especially the slamming of the door to the main corridor, which was adjacent to my room. Sadly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had and I will never stay there again.
