  : Very standard rooms, inadequate facilities that are open to the public, rude managers that require a course in hospitality customer service training, unprofessional staff having inappropriate conversations at reception and by the pool with each other whilst guests around, when calling in advance with questions regarding facilities was informed to refer to website as the receptionist did not know.Booked for two nights as a couple and was thoroughly disappointed. Would definitely not book again.RoomTo start with, they put us in a room in a very boring building, nothing to do with the castle in the photos. The room was so hot with no air con, I went straight to reception and said I couldn't sleep there and was supplied a second fan ! ( they obviously knew this was an issue as there was already an industrial fan in the room already)The room must have been above or surrounded by heating pipes the walls and floor were emanating 30°c + heat, after opening the doors and windows and feeling like I was in a fan oven I spoke to the manager stating that there was no way I could sleep in that heat and wanted a refund and intended on leaving, only to be told I could not get a refund and he would find an alternate room. This room was also too hot but not as bad but had a potent bad smell, non working lights, and a lack of toiletries. I still needed the fan and windows open just to keep room temperature under 30°c and air fresheners to mitigate the smell.The toiletries in the bathroom consisted of a bottle of shower gel attached to the wall in the shower and by sink like you would find in any motel.FacilitiesPool, gym, and steam /sauna is an absolute joke. The pool is very small and dirty, not surprising as they have a constant stream of non guests using the "leisure" facilities that wouldnt even be big enough for the amount of rooms in hotel let alone for non guests.
