  : Thankfully linen spotless. Well furnished lodge and supplied with all we needed for our stay. Peaceful, rural area close to shops for supplies and a good base for visiting local places of interest, walking etc.
  : First impression on arrival chair on decking covered in bird droppings (and not just a splatter, have a photograph but won't show publically), dirty table and decking yet three spotless other chairs. Initially thought indoors looked OK but actually most surfaces needed to be cleaned.

  : Good location for 7 Stanes mtb trails, especially Dalbeattie and Mabie. Comfortable self catering accommodation with all the facilities we needed, and lots we didn't! Now TV was an unexpected bonus for evening entertainment.
  : We're not fussy, so all good!

  : it was a pretty location, remote and enjoyed the peace and quiet
  : how much cleaning was expected of us upon check out was a surprise and we were not happy as it meant we spent more time cleaning than having breakfast and checking out..., we saw it had a 9am check out (super early when you consider other options available) but shocked at what was expected of us re cleaning considering the price. the kettle in the kitchen was coated in limescale (cldnt have cuppa teas). several pans and pots in kitchen were badly burnt and had not been replaced, so not much available to cook with. it was dusty in places windows/lamps, one window had bugs and cobwebs all along the frame (was afraid to open window), not maintained to standard u wld expect for price. plus no information on check out in welcome/visitor book (email only). wifi didnt work in one of the bedrooms. there was no bbq...but in general and initially upon entry it looked lovely, but when time to do stuff you could see below surface the place needed a lot of deep cleaning and home improvements. I have allergies with dust and it wasnt great for me. but the cows and sheeps, the back patio, the location was lovely. shower/bathroom was average. cld do with new towels etc . beds were comfortable but dust in room made it hard to sleep. good storage for clothes, and we saw it had huge potential if these things were addressed

  : it was out the way of the business situated on outskirts of Dumfries but only a 9 minute drive to go into the heart of Dumfries .. very peaceful was what I was looking for the ramp was good to see I had my sticks with me but would have been easy access if I took my wheelchair.. everything was written in a book to explain where the shops .. bus timetable also how to work things in the protruding if required and also numbers were left incase of any emergency which is always handy to have x
  : the only minuet detail of this property was the cleaning expectation now keep in mind I am a bit ocd. and little things can niggle at me nothing more I can say I didnt like .
