  : The room was well decorated and looked comfortable. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. the property was close to where we were going and easy to find.
  : In the information it stated that the rooms are sound proofed, however it was very noisy and I hardly slept even with ear plugs. The property is on a main road with traffic noise throughout the night. Our room was on the road side of the property. There was constant music and conversation in the bars until after midnight. When the people in the room next door arrived to the room at 12.30pm, they both had a shower and banged around for at least 1 hour before settling, the shower room was directly behind the wall where our bed head was. We had been been told that the kitchen was very coeliac friendly, we went to breakfast and after discussing our requirements with the staff we felt that they had no real understanding of coeliac disease and although they offered gluten free options they did not understand about cross contamination in the kitchen, we ended up having very little for breakfast. My husband just had two hard boiled eggs in their shells as he did not trust anything else. We felt it was overpriced for accommodation which is effectively rooms above a pub.

  : The mattress and pillows were very very uncomfortable. We had 3 rooms for 2 nights and no one had a good nights sleep. This can easily be resolved with toppers or new mattresses & pillows

  : Very accommodating staff as we were delayed arriving, yet they still found time to personally show us around the room, then back to the bar for a free first drink. Breakfast was very hearty with gorgeous views over the Irwell Valley.
  : The rooms on the Whalley Road side of the pub are quite noisy from road traffic, but we forgot the close the wooden blinds, which may have helped, if not with the noise, then with the early morning light. A light bulb needed replacing.

  : Excellent continental breakfast served to room on day 1, and good quality breakfasts at weekend in main restaurant
  : Perhaps -a little bit warm in the night - but that was a small point
