: Parking was horrendous, small amount of space in front of the pub but it was full when we arrived, street parking was really busy nearby too. The lady who booked us in was very friendly. I asked about food as the sign outside the pub advertised pub food however I was pointed to a nearby takeaway and told they didn't do food in the pub. The rooms were cold but radiators in there so did get it warmed up. The TV signal was bad but I wasnt too bothered by that, others may be. The bed was really hard for me but others may like that so thats one of those things you cant please everyone. One of our rooms had a little fridge but the other one didn't. The easily accessible bottled water was a nice touch in the entrance. I probably would stay there again if I needed to be in the area.
: The only thing really was the parking and the rooms being cold on arrival.

: Nice size room for two. Great location for access to Sussex University. The staff were polite. The pub itself was a little on the rougher side...but safe and pleasant.
: The decor in the pub.

Very Poor
Traveller Type: Business Traveler
: Absolutely nothing at all except the receptionist who helped sort out the payment issues, he was great.
: Such a shame, We booked 3 rooms at the hotel and as our staff were staying there we called ahead to ensure payment had been taken. On arrival they could not find the payment had to send their own confirmation emails and bank statement to them. Rooms were tiny and filthy (mould and dirty towels) one staff member arriving at midnight was told to ensure their door was locked and was kept awake until the early hours by loud music and singing.. The rooms are above a pub so noise is to be expected but the cleanliness of the rooms was quite frankly awful.
