  : I loved the look of the building. Very, very old building, beautiful.
  : I was travelling with my sister and we ended up in a very small room with a double bed. I had requested a twin room but the receptionist said she had only seen my request shortly before we arrived.

  : A wonderful and very old property dating from 1693, I think. Having lived 30 years in a 300 year old thatched cottage we are very used to the special quirkiness of old buildings. Superior room was a free upgrade as our originally booked room was unavailable for one night. This was (eventually) handled very well. One quirk was a a majestic and very grand wooden wardrobe with a malfunctioning key latch so that the door swung open as you trod near to it. Eventually fixed by wedging it with a teabag (unused!) All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Beautiful garden to sit in enjoying a beer, with plenty of good quality garden furniture. Breakfasts were excellent, and the one evening meal we had was very good and a reasonable price. Keynsham is interesting and just far enough out of the bustle of Bristol to make short hops into the city.
  : The car park is tiny with room for about 5 cars with two further spaces round the corner behind a wall on the route to Tesco, and one of these, bizarrely, is disabled only. It's a very small space, and you need to be a confident and precise driver to be able to enter through a narrow passageway, turn sharp left and reverse into a spot without driving into the well or down the step into the function room. It is what it is, it will never be possible to change it without taking away some of the garden (no, don't) and we did manage to get a space overnight, but usually only after the evening diners had departed. It might be an idea for the hotel to arrange for a few spaces for free overnight parking with Tesco, a 1 minute walk away, or to reserve the small number of parking spaces for overnight guests (especially if they've just travelled over 400 miles to get there.)

  : Very convenient location, rooms were clean and it really felt like you were in an old manor.Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.
  : The bathroom was quite compact and the power shower was not the best. But everything worked as expected.
