  : The beds we’re comfortable - could leave the car and bags there while going out before check in
  : Dirty shower - no locks on the bathroom door - damaged main door lock - broken window and window locks - very small t.v. For the size of the room - generally dirty and with damp in the corridors - they said that there were 2 tube stations within 5 minutes walk - this would only be with an Olympic walker - normally it would take 15 minutes at least

  : You could park your car if you were early enough
  : I’m not sure where to start so I’ll start with safety:-The fire door (hopefully it is one) from reception to the stairwell and stairs to the first floor was constantly propped open as was the fire door leading to the second floor.There weren’t any fire extinguishers present that could be seen.The rooms had no Fire Safety advice notices detailing how to exit in the case of a fire, or where the location was to gather in the event of a fire.The fire alarm did work though as it went off every morning someone tried to boil their kettle! However, when we got up and exited the staff were just carrying on as usual and were very blasé about the whole events - saying just a kettle no need to get up next time!We did however get up the next morning it went off as we had no faith that if it was a real fire event anyone would even let us know.This leads me to all the other issues:-The fire alarm goes off because the kettle have no cut off on them - this mean the fire alarm goes off at whatever time someone makes a drink. This woke us early both mornings meaning we needed to get up, and outside way BEFORE we would usually rise.The room rate we paid at the hotel is WAY WAY too much for the shoddy, dangerous and unkempt property we were presented with.On arrival you are greeted with a dank, and unkempt frontal aspect. The gutters have weeds growing out of them, the front of the property has green algae on it, the windows are filthy. The driveway and path was slippy with algae and there was old broken up wardrobes and other items strewn up the sides of the driveway.The walk displaying the Hotel signage was dangerous and falling apart with just a cone placed in front as a warning.Reception:- This was a makeshift reception area and again very shoddily constructed.On being shown to our room we rejected the first two and then had to accept the third as there were no other options. The staff our clearly embarrassed about showing these rooms to people.
