Disappointing
Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
  : We stayed here one night before a very early flight. The staff were very accommodating when we arrived early (11am) as our previous accommodation elsewhere on the island had an early check-out. Although our room wasnt ready, we went to the pool and they stored our luggage. The location is great for a quick (or longer) visit to Funchal. The view from the rooms and pool areas are fantastic and its so great to have access to a sea-swimming spot.
  : The rooms and corridors in this part of the hotel are dated (although this is probably reflected in the price). Inside it doesnt feel 5 star. The air conditioning in our room didnt work, which we didnt realise until we were putting two small children to bed (so couldnt get anyone to come and look at it). As a result, we didnt sleep at all before our 3am start for our flight as it was roasting.
