  : Terrace needs some work, canapy broken, arms permanently extended. Exposed brickwork makes it very ugly, needs plants, flowers, decorative lights to make it a relaxing environment. In the bathroom the toilet seat needs tightening and a glass for toothbrushes would be good. Did ask for one but it never arrived. Charge to make a coffee seems a bit cheeky.

  : Decent size room with small balcony. Nice. comfortable bed.
  : The pool needed to be cleaned and was much smaller than appeared in the photos. The hot tub was not opened and looked like it had been closed for some time. On checkout we were charged 1.50 for a Nespresso coffee made from the machine in our room. We have never had such a charge before in any hotel or guesthouse in any country we have stayed in worldwide . Two glasses of wine were by far (more than double) the most expensive we have had in the Algarve and elsewhere in Portugal over two visits in the last two months. They should provide a price list in the room and also in the bar so nothing comes as a surprise to guests. While not necessarily related to the guesthouse our taxi back to the airport booked by the hotel was twice the price of the taxi taken from the taxi rank at the airport two days earlier at Faro airport.

  : Very quirky property near centre of Faro. Lovely big bathroom and terrace on our room (unfortunately we couldnt use as due to poor weather!

  : The breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. The wine tasting we had was excellent and reasonably priced. The food at dinner was superb and beautifully presented. The owners and staff treat guests like part of the family and do their utmost to take care of them well.
  : The layout of the building is like a maze. More attention needs to be devoted to maintenance details as the building is old. It would have been nice to have better towels.

  : Quirky, eclectic, hotel. Comfortable bedroom and ensuite. Extensive breakfast with fresh orange juice, lovely coffee, cheese, meat, fruit, yoghurt, and pastries.

  : The staff were very helpful and they really were extra keen to please. The location is excellent.
  : Its very noisy. Our room was on top of their restaurant and they had a pool bar below us too. Their dog also barks when new visitors arrive.

  : Breakfast was nice a selection of cheese, ham, fruit, fresh bread and scrambled eggs on request. Hotel staff were superb: exceptionally friendly and helpful - impeccable service. Room was nice, fridge, comfy bed, good aircon, walk in shower. Balcony was a nice suntrap from 14:00 onwards and lovely to have the breeze on warm days, meandering it's way through the room. The hotel has a massive stock of wine, port and cheeses etc. We very much recommend sampling the port at the hotel. Location is superb, right in the heart of old town. Five minute walk to the bus and train station, public transport is cheap and affordable. Free pool table was in a nice room to play in. Loads of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Virtually everyone speaks some english. People in the Algarve are very friendly and helpful.
  : Not a bad point as such, just took me a day to get used to the layout and location of doors/keys.
