Acanthus B&B

: We loved the location and how centrally located it was. Francesca was also very helpful in helping us get there and letting us know about the travel delays due to a fire at the airport. It made a very stressful situation much less stressful. The room was also very clean and the air conditioning was so nice in this summer heat!
: The only negatives were the Wifi was not usable. It didn't work at all, we could only use our data plan. The other downside is that the breakfast is not served on site, you have coupons for a nearby cafe, which was great, but it's not clear what it includes. We only ordered two croissants, juice and coffee and had to pay 6 because we ordered too much. So I don't think breakfast is really sufficient, however, it was still delicious and worth paying the 6. Downsides and all, I still recommend this place. You can't beat the location for this price.

: The property is located in the heart of downtown Catania, within 5 minutes walk to Piazza del Duomo, and fine shopping and restaurants. It offers a nice view of Mount Etna. Once a refined apartment, the owner takes a great pride in maintaining its historical prestige.
: There was nothing that we did not like

: Huge room, incredible value for money. Locationally really great for exploring Catania.
: Walls were a tad thin with other apartments in the complex, but not a massive issue!

: The B&B is in a great location in the city center, on Piazza Stesicoro. The room is big, clean and fully renovated, with air conditioned.
: The B&B is in an old building with no lift and it is at the third floor; carrying the luggage with a toddler, a 70yo lady and 35 degrees was very demanding. Although I booked a room with 2 beds, only one bed was settled with clean bed sheets; when I asked the lady for clean bed sheets for the second bed, my request was denied.

  : Centrally located.
: Bizarre way to get in. There is no sign of a B&B. Just a huge iron door. I had to phone the owner to get in. Theres no staff there. Its basically an apartment. Up 9 flights of stairs, as I was in my own initially this was pretty spooky going out in the dark. I was given 3 sets of keys to use. There was a little patio and a voucher for breakfast- croissant and coffee at a nice cafe nearby. If Id have known all this beforehand I wouldnt have booked it.

: Amazing location and gorgeous room - directly at the most vibrant and buzzing part of the city, with a direct view of the Etna. Bathroom was nice & clean and the bed super comfy!
: If you have a lot of luggage it's a little hard to get upstairs. it's in the 3rd floor and there is no elevator.
