  : A romantic hotel at few minutes walk from the centre of Metz with free parking and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and towels were changed every day. Connection to Internet was good and secure. Our room had coffee and tea and a fridge available. The building of the hotel is classic and traditional. We didn't have time to use the swimming pool. Close to the hotel is a Michelin (3 star) restaurant, El Théatris Restaurant with excellent food.
  : Shaving was a challenge for me as the lights in the bathroom were insufficient for this purpose and there was no magnifying mirror present.

  : The first room we got had the worst cigarette/smoke smell and as a smoker myself i can tell you it was really bad. So it was clear someone had been smoking in this hotel and there was no fire detector in the rooms. We changed rooms to a different side of the hotel but although the smokey smell was gone, it only got worse. There were stains everywhere on the carpet, the walls, the ceiling... Looked like a crime scene... There was fluorescent purple mold in the bathroom and dead flies in the window which indicated the room hadn't been cleaned. I can handle (even appreciate) old/authentic interrior choices, but I can't handle unhygienic and dirty. After my boyfriend and I got an allergic reaction (sneezing, red eyes etc) from all the dust and probably (hopefully) animal hair, we decided to drive the 4 hours home and sleep in our own beds. Best decision ever!

  : Next to the city center everything is accessible by foot.
  : Extremely loud at night and no AC in the rooms. Lots of traffic at all hours of the night made it hard to sleep.
