  : Felt it was expensive, as a pension, but the owner^s friendly and helpful ,nature ameliorated this greatly.

  : The location is absolutely excellent with beaches 5 mins walk, Old town 5 mins walk, high Street shops 5 mins walk, bus station 10 mins walk. It's in the heart of everything. However it's on a side street that is fairly quiet and we were never disturbed at night.We had a large room with a lovely balcony and we had use of a shared kitchen with a coffee machine and large selection of teas all free to guests. There was also a shared fridge. All these extras made for a great stay. Luis gave us a very friendly introduction when we checked in at the prearranged time. It was good to have the lift to the 4th floor too.
  : A bit expensive. However all accommodation in San Sebastian is expensive but compared to other places I think Pension Joakina was quite good value.

  : Great location on the edge of the old town and 10minutes walk to the beach.Host is very amenable, has a communal area where tea and coffee are supplied as well as beach towels, parasols and various other bits and bobs
  : The pillows were really small, there were some larger bolster type items but they were then too big

  : Great location steps from the old town. Our host Luis was extremely helpful, advised us about parking, gave us excellent recommendations about local restaurants and pintox bars and made us feel very welcome.
