  : We liked the location very much. Hotel is right on the beach in a nice area, not too busy but very pleasant. The hotel is very clean and staff is constantly cleaning the different areas (even sunbeds). The staff (except reception) is very good, very hardworking, but always with a smile that makes you feel welcome and we would like to thank all of them. The quality of food was good. Entertainment was OK. Yoga and aqua aerobic was very good.
  : The hotel is one of the expensive ones on Gran Canaria. We always stay in hotels in certain price bracket because we want our holiday to feel special and exiting. Unfortunately the hotel is very utilitarian. There is nothing to be exited about. The territory of the hotel is very small and all sunbeds cramped into little space near the pool. There is nothing else in the hotel - no table tennis or billiard because there is no room for them. The water in the pool could be warmer. Restaurant gets very crowded, again because it is small, there are not enough food stations for so many people and you need to queue all the time. There is not enough hot food. I feel that I have not eaten meat at all because there was just one person grilling meat and fish. Normally in such restaurants they have some of the meat or fish already prepared so people don't need to wait and they have time to prepare the next bunch. In Don Gregory they start preparing your order when you come to them, firstly the queue gets very long and secondly I was always worried that because of the queue they would start rushing things and the meat or fish would not be properly cooked. The rooms' design is ridiculous. The toilet is behind a glass wall, there is no privacy at all. I sometimes ended up using proper toilets in the gym/spa area. I don't understand why almost in every hotel the reception staff is so unwelcoming. Don Gregory is no exception. They were indifferent at best. I would suggest to place any waiter from the restaurant to the reception so he would teach the reception staff how to make your guests feel welcome. The hotel caters mostly for German tourists and there are 30 German channels on TV and only one English channel. This makes you feel like the second class. It would be nice to have some leftover biscuits from breakfast in the pool caf. Overall the hotel did not meet our expectations and was not good value for money. We will not return.
