  : Lovely staff. Old hotel in need of renovation. Rooms basic, not even a kettle. For the price there are far more luxurious options a short distance away.
  : The manager/owner was quite rude. It was a local festival, would have been nice to have some communication about it (was difficult to leave the building at certain times and I was told off by the manager for not closing the door but no one had mentioned this!! Its a hotel after all!). Towels smelt musty after once use. Water in the mini bar had lost its fizz. Great location, nice staff. Over priced (my parents stayed 4 minutes away In cal bisbe and they had huge pool, breakfast included and far more modern facilities)

  : The location is brilliant, and the rooms were comfy, we had a balcony looking over the square, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the restaurant/bar area immediately outside in the square.
  : No breakfast on weekdays! There were options next door and in the square but it is always nice to have breakfast in the same place you are staying

  : Great location in Soller. Manuel on reception during the day was excellent: friendly, helpful, professional. View from the front facing rooms onto the square is lovely. Mini bar in room. Hotel accommodated me switching to a room at the back of hotel due to noise levels at the front. Hotel also accommodated when I decided to cut my stay short and move to another hotel
  : Unfortunately, this hotel wasn't to my liking. Although the building has lovely period features, it needs work. The rooms are tired, reception area is cluttered and it all looks and feels a bit depressing.I couldn't get air con/heating to work in either of the rooms, and it was chilly on the second night. Shower is in the bath with a shower curtain n water got all over floor in both bathrooms. The first room was noisy with singing from bars at night and street cleaner using noisy leaf blower first thing in the morning.I arrived around 23:00 after a long day travelling and was not greeted friendly by the manager who, in fairness, spoke little English and seemed tired but still, professional friendliness is a fairly basic expectation of someone in hospitaliity industry. They don't serve breakfast though there's breakfast menus in the rooms that say kitchen is open from 8:00. There's a lovely cafe next door but this is an extra expense. The garden area looks grim, it's dark with tired old furniture; the pictures online give a different impression from what it's actually like. I didn't have dinner so can't speak to thatLuckily, I was able to move to a different hotel.For the same price I got a hotel in Port de Soller that was beachfront, sea view balcony, pool, bar, restaurant, breakfast included, sauna, hot tub, roof terrace. Wonderful friendly staff who spoke English, German, French. Car hire from the hotel etc. Obviously Hotel la Vila can't offer sea views or beach access due to location. However, there's a lot they can do to improve the appearance and ambiance of the hotel and the experience of their guests. Yes, they're not that expensive and if you're not fussy it might do. On the other hand there are hotels in the area that offer so much more by way of facilities and service for in or around the same price.

  : Stayed here for a one night visit to Sller (and Port) and found the hotel really good. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and full of old world charm as was the rest of the building, a real throwback in time!! Staff were friendly and attentive. Could have stayed longer but had to move on, maybe next time we will.

  : The room was high up in the building and had stunning views of the church Sant Bartomeu in Placa de la Constituci. The hustle and bustle from the main square was at times overwhelming but this is expected from such a central location.
  : We were told that breakfast was only available during the weekends from 9 am, but when we went down to the bar/lobby after 9 am on the Saturday there was no one around. When finally someone arrived, probably around 9.15 am, we were told to sit down but after a while no one attended us so we went and looked for breakfast elsewhere and didn't feel like having another attempt at hotel breakfast on the following day. The room was okay but lacked some basic amenities, especially a kettle. When one day I asked for hot water in the bar to make tea, one of the members of staff filled up my hot water bottle with hot water from the tap. When I instead asked for boiling water from the nearby espresso machine he impatiently insisted that the hot water from the tap was extremely hot. It was probably about 60 degrees C. I was quite offended and couldn't be bothered to go into a discussion about how hot tap water can be unsafe to drink. We generally didn't feel very welcome, which was a disappointment.
