  : We came to Merida by train for the city's Roman heritage and to attend a play at the Roman theater. I'm not comfortable with using city buses, so I picked the Vettonia because it was the closest hotel to what I wanted to do. The hotel was clean, pleasant, and made a good base for exploring the city, but the real star was sweet Antonio, who worked at the desk and always lifted my spirits when I was worried or tired. I wish all the service industry folks in Spain were so adept at using technology to communicate across language barriers. I struggled to use what Spanish I know, and his English was about the same, but he would whip out his phone, speak into it in Spanish, and show me what he needed to say. Several restaurants and hotels I used during this trip would benefit by having tech-savvy workers to help the tourists.
  : The Vettonia itself is not the most spectacular of hotels, but it was well-located, affordable, quiet, and convenient. I can't remember anything negative that would prevent me staying there again. We got there by taxi from the train station, after another hotel called one for us. It might be hard to reach otherwise.

  : Good Location short walk to RomanTheatre and City centre . Room are very clean and quiet,Friedly staff ,WiFi work well. Free parking outside the Hotel .
  : Bed is a bit small for two.
