  : You cant beat the location! Walking distance to plaza mayor, Sol, Callao, Gran Via. Youre at the center of all while location is in a quiet & pedestrian street.

  : The apartment was great - - The bed was about 56 1/2 inches wide, which is above average for Iberia, and the mattress was comfortable - - the most comfortable bed in this 19-day trip. The couch was very comfortable. The location was perfect, about 3 minutes walk to either plaza Mayor or plaza Puerto del Sol. Kitchen, washing machine, Wi-Fi, air conditioning. 12-ft tall ceilings. The bedroom was a spacious 10 ft by 12 ft, not including the wardrobe. There was no cigarette smoke odor emanating from anything within the room. It was an easy 30-minute walk from Atocha train station.
  : Check-in really does close at midnight. Before we booked we found the "hostal" phone number on Booking and called to make sure that they would be able to check us in if we arrived as late as 1:00 a.m. . They said yes, so we reserved. Everything worked out, but you must make sure that they agree before booking, as they are hard-nosed about their rules. We had no noise problems from within the building; however, the street noise all through the night was unbelievable, so I only got a few hours of sleep on each of our two nights, in spite of the comfortable mattress.
