: When I booked, the description of the property said that it was in a quiet location and noise-insulated, which was one reason for choosing it. This turned out to be completely untrue! You can hear every sound from outside even with windows and doors tightly shut (the noise insulation is terrible). It was impossible to sleep during the three nights I spent there. I had booked 5 nights, but left early, as I could not stand the noise anymore. The owners, who seemed friendly enough in the beginning, became very unfriendly as soon as I complained about the noise and once I pointed out that the description on the website did not agree with reality. Only after two days of arguing and mediation by Booking.com did they grudgingly agree to refund me for one night. I still felt cheated by the owners for providing wrong information on the property and finally Booking mediated a refund for the two nights I did not spend in the property and sent a new confirmation. However, the owners didn't refund anything for weeks and probably never would have without multiple further interventions from Booking. They then refused to pay for more than one night and Booking finally paid me the amount for the second night. All in all, an absolute nightmare. So, unless you are an extremely sound sleeper and do not intend to say anything whatever goes wrong, this is definitely not the place for you. I would like to add a thank-you to the Booking.com customer service! They were very helpful.
