Parklife Apartments

Wonderful

: Excellent appartment, can certainly recommend. We did not ski so did not have the need to be close to the ski area. The appartment is located in the old part of town, which is much nicer than the ski area. There are many good restaurants and cafes close by, and lots of walking/winterwander opportunities all around. The caretaker was very friendly, the appartment was warm and cozy, and check out was flexible.
: Small things really. The tap in the kitchen was weird and started leaking, and the pillows on the bed were rather small. Other than that, great appartment!

: Great location with parking. Really clean, comfortable and homely. Kitchen is really well equipped, and the beds were comfortable.
: Table and chairs would have been better than breakfast bar with stools.

: The lady (owner?) that handed us the keys was friendly and showed a smile. When the central heating was malfunctioning (see cons) she brought us a portable heater. The location was perfect in proximity to town (right around the corner).
: First of all the awkward smell which was present constantly. We got used to it when home, but coming back to the apartment after a day's acitivity the smell hit us instantly when entering. We suspect the odor (old cat pee?) coming from the old carpeting. Second, the heating system is outdated. It's either too cold, or too hot as it can't be adjusted, and the one next to the bed makes too much noise for light sleepers. The first day it wasn't working at all, and after calling the host, she brought us a well working portable heater, which we had to switch between living room and bed room. Third, we weren't particularly pleased with the overall demeanor. After booking, the 'tone of voice' of the confirmation message by the owners was slightly insistant as were the house rules printed on the door. "If you don't comply you will be struck by lightning"; surely meant as a joke but overall we didn't feel welcomed as a paying guest. Oh, and after days of waiting after check out, I had to request the release of the 200 euro safety deposit from my credit card, which was then done immediately without any confirmation or message. It's an ok place, but compared to all other rentals we stayed at during our vacation (same price range or cheaper), this one was the least pleasant.
