Chalet Hinter Dem Rot Stei is nestled at an altitude of 1830 metres slightly above the cosmopolitan centre of Zermatt. It offers comfortable interiors which include an iron stove a private sauna and an all-season heated outdoor hot tub. Modern comforts such as free WiFi 2 LCD TVs and 2 DVD players are provided. Hinter Dem Rot Stei is an 8-minute walk from the mid station of Furi Cable Car.

On request luggage is transported from there to the chalet for an extra charge. The cable car takes guests high up towards the extensive slopes of Zermatt Ski Area. On request and against a surcharge guests may also decide for the option of having their groceries delivered to the Chalet. A breakfast basket is available upon prior arrangement and at a surcharge.

The centre of Zermatt with its restaurants and designer shops can be reached by a footpath within 55 minutes. Numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails are available around Dem Rot Stei.
