  : The staff were , The food was OK. Breakfast was great.The evening food was not as good as the last time I ate there. Overpriced for what we had, meat was of a poorer quality.
  : The room especially the toilet was very dirty and the toilet seat would not stay in place and was disgusting around the seat fixtures, had to clean it berore everytime it was used.Generally tired facilities.

  : I've stayed here maybe 5 or 6 times before so knew I'd love the location by the river. Also knew the room, specifically asked for it.
  : Looking very shabby now. Needs a good lick of paint outside. The gardens need a good tidy up, appreciate it's winter but it all looks unloved. Very short staffed but the ones that were there worked their socks off, perhaps that was what had happened to the manager on Saturday night when he appeared to work behind the bar in shorts and no socks on, not a professional look! Very draughty sitting in the window seats, perhaps some internal extra glazing might improve things if the outside of the building is subject to planning regulations. I'd specifically asked for the room l did because I knew it had a separate bath and shower. I no longer have a bath at home as l required my bathroom to be converted into a wet room for my now sadly deceased husband so my special birthday treat was to have a long soak in a hot bath with a Lush bath bomb. It's very difficult to achieve this when you have to keep your heel on the plug to stop the water from draining out before you can even lie back and enjoy the sensation. Another strange thing that was lacking was a toilet brush but was reliably informed that this was due to health and safety when I checked out!!!???!!! Really, that's a new one on me especially when our local hospital has one in every en suite and public toilets too. Come on Fisherman's Cott, you were good but I sadly was really disappointed this time.
