  : The view from the room was great, a complete view of the harbour. Bed was very comfortable indeed. Good variety of breakfast offerings.
  : When we arrived we were taken straight to our room and given the key. Not much interaction from the receptionist which was disappointing. When ever we entered of left the hotel she would duck behind the computer screen, therefore making no attempt to communicate with us. Unfortunanatley our room, 108, was very close to the reception area and utilities room. This made it very noisy indeed along with music from the bar below us at 11pm at night. I mentioned this to the receptionist and requested the music stop, this was done. But we still had the noise from reception as early as 06.30 am from people coming and going and from house staff. She apologised again and one of the house staff suggested that we should be moved, but the receptionist said all rooms were taken, this we learned later wasn't true. Two other receptionists, Ruth and Richard were always helpful and happy to chat to us which was nice. We never eat in for our evening meal as it was all al a carte any expensive. But the day before we left a couple who had been coming to the hotel for 30 years told us that they never had the main al a carte as the chef cooked them non al a carte food, something the staff never told us was possible. DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 108 UNLESS YOU WANT A NOISY HOLIDAY.
